Who We Are

James "Jimmy" McCloskey started in the insurance business in 1981, following his Uncle Gerard McCloskey, a fellow insurance agent at the time. James quickly became one of the top agents in the industry. Now, in 2023, James has worked hard to keep his finger on the pulse of the ever-changing regulations of the insurance industry. J.W. McCloskey Financial is a trustworthy family business with his daughter Beth McCloskey by his side. Our office coordinator Sarah Jans helps manage client’s needs in a timely and professional manner. When other insurance companies or lenders say no, our team goes above and beyond to get the best deal for you and your business. We are located in the community of Souris, Prince Edward Island, but have clients Island wide.
